The powerful PZM-170 grain thrower is the latest model of the grain thrower with increased productivity. With its help it is possible to carry out quick loading of grain into grain carriers, cars, railway cars, containers, barges, trailers, etc. A full load of a grain truck takes about 12 minutes.

The grain thrower PZM-170 also quickly loads and unloads both low and high grain stores.

Another important function that the PZM-170 can perform is the transfer of grain in closed warehouses and in open areas. This is necessary for long-term storage of grain. In the process of grain transfer, its moisture content and contamination by light impurities are reduced.

The grain thrower PZM-170 is used to work with cereals, oilseeds, legumes and industrial crops, while the trauma to the grain is minimal (less than 0.1%).

During the operation of the grain thrower, the grain is fed to the conveyor using scraper feeders. The conveyor loads the grain into the trimmer, which throws it through a special guide tube. The trimmer with the pipe easily rotates 257 degrees. The process of changing the height or direction of flight of the grain takes 3 seconds.

Using the PZM-170 grain thrower, it is possible to fill warehouses of different volumes and heights, load grain directly under the tailgate.

The productivity of the PZM-170 grain thrower is up to 170 tons per hour. Grain flight height up to 10 meters, and flight range up to 25 meters.

The grain thrower PZM-170 can also be equipped with a hopper.

This is a self-propelled grain loader that rides and loads grain itself without the help of other machines or people.

  • Grain loading height is much higher with thrower.

  • Grain crushing degree is no more than 0,1 % with thrower and is many times higher with vacuum loader.

  • Vehicle can stay put when loading with grain thrower unlike vacuum loader.

  • Grain thrower electricity consumption is just 0,1 kW for 1 ton of grain and vacuum loader consumes much more electricity.

  • Depending on modification of grain thrower its performance is up to 170 tons per hour that makes it possible to upload grain much faster than front-end loader.

  • Grain thrower withdrawal width is 6 meters, but pneumatic loader less than 10 times.

  • The grain thrower can load grain under the roof of the warehouse, and the pneumatic loader cannot do this because it needs a place under the roof to position the funnel through which the grain is poured.

Grain thrower advantages versus front-end loader

  • Front-end loader has to be moved together with grain all along and as a result higher risk of accident or injury to a worker. Grain thrower does not displace but just collects grain from the ground and throws it somewhere else or to the vehicle.

  • Front-end thrower consumes expensive fuel and lubricants and there is a risk of fire, a lot of smoke and waste that personnel breath in. Grain thrower consumes just 0,1 kW per 1 ton of grain and there is no risk of fire, smoke and waste.

  • Front-end loader rides on the grain and pushes it with bucket when operating, as a result high degree of grain crushing. Grain thrower degree of grain crushing is no more than 0,15%.

  • Depending on modification of grain thrower its performance is up to 170 tons per hour that makes it possible to upload grain much faster than front-end loader.

  • Front-end loader empties out bucket near itself and uploading height is much less

  • Grain thrower can load grain up to ceiling but front-end loader can’t do this because there is no space available for its bucket

  • Grain thrower maintenance and support is much more cheaper than front-end loader maintenance
